1. Our brand Louie-Thomas
Louie-Thomas is a Vietnamese/European family-run company that focuses on making boutique products.
We have been manufacturing some of our own products from Vietnam for a number of years now and use the registered trademark ‘Louie Thomas’
Our main office is in Dunedin, New Zealand and, our second office is in Ha Dong city, Vietnam which is also family-run.

In connection with designing some of our own products we also work closely with several other artisan families in Vietnam that have their own workshops where they make silk and lacquer ware and have been doing so for generations.

We believe it is our responsibility to contribute positively towards the environment around us and to promote good work ethics and suitable conditions wherever our products are made.
We also contribute a certain percentage of monies in Vietnam to selected charitable organizations, such as the Peace Village.

2. Our team
Our team-where commitment is second to none!
Fortunately because of the Internet we can work anywhere these days, so we have chosen to have our main office in Dunedin where some of the designing takes place.

At our other office in Ha Dong city, Vietnam we have a dedicated team of family members, and staff working in connection with us. They are Vietnamese and are fluent in English and Chinese. As well as being able to offer you their services in the export market for larger orders, they are fundamentally able to monitor the quality checking of all our products that we have made in Vietnam. This is an important necessity when getting an order made to a specific requirement.

We are a registered company in NZ with a retail shop online. Our prices quoted online are in retail prices and set in New Zealand dollars. Sometimes we do have sales and great discounts available at certain times of the year. Our online store has a growing selection of boutique gifts ideal for any season of the year.

As a manufacturer we make and design products in Vietnam for the International market.We export to the rest of the world from the port of Haiphong/Vietnam.

4. Our products
What is it all about?
Louie-Thomas has mainly centred upon a fine selection of newly designed arts and crafts from Vietnam. The product list continues to expand however and now includes a vast collection of home wares.
As well as that we do have a wonderful array of ‘handpicked’ boutique accessories and a growing collection of jewellery available from the rest of Asia, among some of those interesting places may include India and Pakistan, Hong Kong and of course China too.
With regards to our Vietnamese products we do take great pride in mentioning the fact that they are 100% handmade! There are not a lot of places in the world where top quality products can be made by hand at such a competitive price.

As for the handcrafted product…Well it is not the same as that of a product made in a factory or processing plant from another land. It is not a clone. It is unique and richly diverse in the way it is made. Even in the fabrics or from the variation of dyes and colours it becomes an original form of art, an individual creation where no two pieces are exactly alike.
Intricate and time consuming the art is steeped in the traditions and ○rich histories of Vietnamese/French Indochina. This age ‘old art’ continues even today influenced by a latter mix of broader western trends and new designer fashions.

About the ‘Louie-Thomas’ workshop
The Louie-Thomas brand is all about fine craftsmanship and good quality products at a reasonable price.
Louie-Thomas now has a workshop in the North of Vietnam where our manufacturing takes place. We do some of our own designing of new products for the New Zealand, Australia and Pacific market back in Dunedin.

We oversee the making of our products in our Vietnamese workshop and check the quality on a regular basis to ensure that everything is made accordingly before exporting overseas or importing into New Zealand.

Louie-Thomas showcases all latest products at the Auckland Gift fairs in both Autumn and Spring. Our permanent stand number is Stand 4000 in Hall 4. Please come to see us there.
